Who is responsible for your data

Booking requests

When you request a booking, we collect your name, phone number, date, time, number of people and, if you give them, your email and notes. We use this data only to answer your request and handle the booking. The legal basis is the consent you give on the form, and the steps needed before the booking you ask for.

We also record whether the request came from one of our ads, with no identifier, so we know how many bookings the ads bring.

Requests are deleted automatically from our system after about 90 days. We also receive a copy by email, which we keep only as long as needed to handle the booking.

To prevent abuse, Google reCAPTCHA, which only loads once you start filling in the form, analyses data from your device and browser to tell people from automated programs. We also keep a scrambled version of your IP address for about an hour, to limit repeated requests.

Cookies and measurement

We only use Google cookies if you accept them in the cookie notice. Google Analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_*, up to 2 years) show us how the site is used, and the data is kept in Analytics for 14 months. Google Ads cookies (_gcl_*, up to 90 days) show us which ads led to bookings, calls and requests for directions. We do not use them for personalised ads. The legal basis is your consent.

If you decline, no cookies are stored. The Google tag still loads and may send signals without cookies, which Google uses for aggregated statistics. Your choice is stored only in your browser. You can change it at any time: .

Our hosting provider also counts visits in aggregate, with Vercel Web Analytics, without cookies.

Who helps us handle your data

We do not sell your data. We use these service providers: Vercel (website hosting and statistics), Upstash (bookings database), Resend (sending email) and Google (Analytics, Google Ads and reCAPTCHA). Some are outside the European Union, including in the United States. In those cases, transfers rely on the safeguards set out in the GDPR, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, its correction or deletion, restriction of its use and portability, and you can object to its use. You can withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what was done before. Just write to barretesaloio@netcabo.pt.

You also have the right to complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (cnpd.pt).
